CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations is the minimum required to successfully get a merged entry-level licencing for crowd control and security guard. At the same time, this is the required program to upgrade your present level of training to the new CPP Property Services Training Package. The qualification is founded on a nationally training package and is designed to provide qualifications to fulfil the occupation demands of the security officer.

To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in:

  • 14 units of competency:
  • 8 core units
  • 6 elective units.

The elective units must ensure the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome and are to be chosen as follows:

  • a minimum of 4 elective units must be chosen from the elective units listed below
  • up to 2 units may be chosen from the elective units listed below, or elsewhere from the CPP Property Services Training Package or other current Training Packages.

Electives selected from outside this qualification must be relevant to the occupational outcome.
