16 units of competency must be completed: - 5 core units
- 11 elective units consisting of:
- units from either Group A, Group B, Group C, Group D or Group E
- up to 4 elective units may be selected from this or imported from any other endorsed Training Package or accredited course, provided the selected units contribute to the vocational outcome of the qualification and do not duplicate content already covered. Where imported units are selected, care must be taken to ensure that any prerequisite units specified are complied with.
Specialisation Candidates may specialise in a specific stream by completing the core units and elective units from one of the following: - Adult Custodial specialisation = 5 core units, 5 Group A units plus 6 Group E units
- Adult Community specialisation = 5 core units, 6 Group B units plus 5 Group E units
- Youth Custodial specialisation = 5 core units, 7 Group C units plus 4 Group E units
- Youth Community specialisation = 5 core units, 5 Group D units plus 6 Group E units
Up to 4 elective units may be selected from this or imported from any other endorsed Training Package or accredited course when selecting Group E electives. |
