The Certificate III in Shopfitting was designed with shopfitters in mind. These individuals renovate or construct high-quality retail environments by designing, installing and finishing internal shopfitting partitions, units, and shopfronts. Their work also includes wall and floor preparation.

You will need to provide a range of evidence to assist your assessor to make a decision about your competence. The types of evidence you may be asked to provide can include

• Papers of your apprenticeship (if applicable)
• Employment letter(s)
• Photos or video of your work
• Any current employment contracts
• Reference letters from one or more tradesmen you’ve worked with
• Evidence of your overseas qualifications
• ID
• Resume
• Payslips/work contract/ABN if self-employed
• Assessments or transcripts of previous related qualifications
• Safe work method statements
• Contracts
• Quotes/invoices and stock orders
• Job cards
• Maintenance reports/service sheets
• Drawings and shematics
• Safety manuals

For a student, it is crucial to know the occupation he/she will eligible once finish a qualification successfully. If you complete this qualification, you will able to work with this role.

• Shopfitter

To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in:

• 18 units of competency:

• 12 core units
• 6 elective units.

For the elective units:

• a minimum of four units must be selected from Group A
• the remaining two units can be selected from Group A and/or Group B or from any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course as long as they contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome and maintain the integrity of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level of this qualification.
